　最初の謁見場面

私がもたもたしている間に、相当部分ご自分で修正なさってたんですね(^^;)

結果、差異はとても少なくなってしまいましたので、あまりアップする意味もないんですが
No.3257書いた時点から作成始めたので、これ以上遅くならないうちに一部ずつ出していきます。
（言うまでもないですが、私のほうが必ずしも正しいとは限りません＜皆様）

召集場面では、差異らしいものは見つかりませんでした。

サラディンとの対話場面、ルノーに対しても同様。

ちょっと間違いを書いてしまったので訂正します。

＞開口一番が　"I pray you, " です。古風で礼儀正しい言い出しの定型句。

たしかに　"I pray you "　を文頭または文末につけるというのはあるんですが
この場面では、 I pray + 主語述語のあるセンテンス（動詞は原形）で、区切り方違いました。One of many様が第一稿からすでに修正してくださってますが

＞I pray you pull back ～
＞I pray you retire ～

これにカンマは入らないのが正しいです。

あ、意味と言うかニュアンスが「古風で礼儀正しい」というのは変わりないです(^^;)

ハーブ様、補完ありがとうございました。こちらに時間を割く余裕が
出来たということはひとまず落ち着かれたのでしょうか。そうだと良いのですが。

あああ、すみません！#3253でハーブ様に補完をお願いして
おきながら自分でどんどん直してしまうのもどうかとは思いつつも
観賞時にチェックしてみたら細かい間違いがボロボロ見つかり
誤ったままの内容を人目にさらしておくのが恥ずかしくなって直してしまいました。
（それでもまだ　"his/your keeping"のように見落としていた箇所が残っていてがっくり…）

一番気になっていた、かつ何度頑張っても取れなかった箇所の一つが
"...the vanity of our kingdom."の直後でした。"As wretched as I am"だったのですね。
だとすると、No.3237で私が書いた吹き替え批判は不適切だったかもしれません。
一部聞き取れていないところがあるのに安易に「吹き替えはまずい、字幕はOK」みたいな
ことを言ってしまって反省しております。
ただ、ボードワンⅣ世（今まで映画の表記に合わせるつもりで
ボードワン王としていましたが思うところあってこちらに変えました）が
自身を形容するにあたり「みじめな」という語を選択するとはどうしても思えないので
構文の分析やその持つニュアンスの説明も含め
ハーブ様に解説頂ければ、と思っております（急ぎませんからお時間のある時にでも）。
それから、もしさらにお願いして構わなければ、
"If you continue like this, I shall have to find a use for you.
If God can spare you, that is."と
"Remember me as I was."の二箇所も解説下さると有難いです。

ついでに厚かましいリクエストを…　ホスピタラーとティベリウスの台詞の一部で
ハーブ様に補完＆解説をお願い出来れば、と思っている箇所もあったりするのですが。

いえいえ！意味がないなんてとんでもないです。★印の箇所以外でも
細かい部分で私の聞き取り＆記憶とは異なっているところが
複数ありますし。、また、#3253に私がアップした英文には
「その語が聞こえた記憶はあるが、それが正しいという自信が持てなくてはずした」
もしくは「映画館が変わったら前に聞こえていたはずの音が聞こえなかったので
聞き取りミスかと思って削除した」という語もいくつかありました。たとえば
"I'd call it..." のwould、"in that moment"のin、"but I was told"のbutなどです。
こちらも、補完をアップして頂けたので確信が持てました。

調子に乗って、次はサラディン名台詞書き出しを目論んでおります。
その次はホスピタラー＆ティベリウス名台詞、もし出来ればその次はゴッドフリーetc.etc....
（やり過ぎ、と思われる場合は規制かけますのでご指摘くださいませ）

やりましょう（あっさり）。いや、単独でないのでとても心強いです。
自分以外にもこんなことしようと思う人がいて、嬉しいです。

さてご質問の件あれこれですが、わかるところから、わかる分だけ。

＞"As wretched as I am"だったのですね。
私は英語として最初"Wretched as I am," のはずだと思っていたのですが
繰り返し聞いても文頭に as があるとしか聞こえなくて、正直困っています。
というのは、形容詞（過去分詞）＋ as ＋主語＋ be動詞、であれば、高校の例文
・Brave as he was, he could not ...（勇敢ではあったが、彼はその時…できなかった）
これになるのです。文頭 as が私の聞き違いか、あるいは古い形では as … as でも同じ意味になるのか、そこは私の知識不足で今の時点では断言できません。

＞ボードワンⅣ世が
＞自身を形容するにあたり「みじめな」という語を選択するとはどうしても思えないので

そうですね…普通の辞書に載っている訳語の選択範囲内ではありますが、自分なら「このようにひどい有り様の私であるのに、」くらいを選んだろうと思います（字幕でなく普通の翻訳だったと仮定して、ですが）。

wretchedという形容詞にどれくらい時代によるニュアンスの変遷があるのか、までは知らない。また、三人称について語る時と、I am wreched では少し違うような気もするのですが、これもきちんと説明できることではなく漠然とした個人的な語感の域を出ないので……申しわけないですがこれが正直なところです。
（ただ、No.3274 で baldhatter 様がすでに書いてくださった、You are in my heart" で感じたような「脚本の瑕瑾」は、私はこの箇所では感じませんでした。つまり、英語として私はこの形容詞に違和感は覚えなかったということです。）

＞それから、もしさらにお願いして構わなければ、
＞（略）の二箇所も解説下さると有難いです。

解説と言うか、私はこう解釈しています＝自分ならたとえばこう訳すかも
しか書けないですけど、参考までに。

1）"If you continue like this, I shall have to find a use for you."
「このように見事な働きを続けてくれるのなら、そなたの使いみちを何か考えなくてはなるまい」（一地方の領主でおいておくには惜しい人材だ。何か中央の役職を与えて、役に立ってもらいたい）

この王の意を正しく汲んで、ティベリアスは "I（I'llか、Weだったかも） need you in Jerusalem."と別れ際に念を押すわけです。

2）"If God can spare you, that is."
ここのspareの解釈は某所に出ていましたが
「spare＋人」で「助命する、死すべきところを免除して命長らえさせる」の意味に、私も受け取りました。つまり
「余はそなたにもっと役立ってもらおうと思う。もっとも、神が（今回カラクの突撃でそうなさったように）そなたを召したまうことがなければ、の話だが」

もうひとつ可能な解釈は、「神がそなたに与えるであろう別の役割があれば、余がそなたの任務を決めることはできないわけだが」

3）"Remember me as I was."
「（私を思い出す時には）過去あった私として思い出してほしい」 ⇒ 「おまえの記憶には、あの日の私だけをとどめておくれ（意訳）」

ここは、耳によって書いたのではないです。平俗な文例ですみませんが
・I love you as you are （今あるがままの君を愛す）
と同じ文型と解釈しているからこう聞こえたということで。
文法的に、thatはまず無理、あり得るのはRemember what I was ですが、これには聞こえない（meは入っている）ので、残るは"Remember me as I was."以外にないだろうと思ってそう書いたわけです。

くどいですが翻訳者の数だけ解釈の数はあります。ハーブが常に正しいなんて事は絶対にありません。そこだけ心得てくださるなら、こういうご質問を迷惑に感じることはないので、ご安心を（いつでもレスできると限らないですけど　^^;）。

やっと字幕版を見ました。
先に吹き替え版を見たおかげで、言葉足らずな字幕でもストーリーは理解できましたが・・・
例によって、「い」抜きが多いのには閉口しました。ゴッドフリーやティベリウスが「てる、てる」言うのはやめていただきたいです。

ゴッドフリーがバリアンに対して、「イベリンに100名の兵を抱えてる」
「抱える」という表現は良いのに、「てる」で台無し。

ルノーがカラク城でシビラ姫に向かって「何を見てる？」と偉そうな口をきくのは、もう根本的におかしいので、どうしようもないですが。

さすがハーブ様。私の手持ち情報では修正するべき箇所がほとんど見当たりません。
かろうじて、いくつかの（記憶に残っている）語を補足できるのみです。

◆By(?) the word religion
By で良かったと思います。

on behalf of those...と聞こえました。

◆(and? ) Goodness
確信は持てませんが、Goodnessから文が始まっていた記憶あり。

◆decide (to do ?) every day
deceide every day
to doはここには無かったかと。
その前の部分（Holiness～themselves）のどこかに
入っていたような気もしますが確信持てず。

◆for what the Pope'd command(-ed?) them to do
過去形の方ではなかったように思います。

バリアンをティベリアス（こちらも今回から表記を変えました）に
引き合わせるシーンでのホスピタラーの台詞が
その直前のティベリアスの台詞と合わせていまいち流れがよくわかりません。
（No.3276に「ハーブ様に補完と解説をお願いしたい」と書いていた箇所の一つです）
聞き取りミスが原因だったというオチの可能性が大ですけれど…。

ティベリアスの台詞はサラディンの台詞と同時進行で現在入力中でして

今回は要点のみ前置き抜きで失礼します。

themとは、「戦いたがっている馬鹿者ども」これはキリスト教徒側にもイスラム教徒側にもいる。
ボードワンIV世は、ルノーやギィが今以上に暴発しないように抑える努力をしている。サラディンもまた自陣営の過激な主戦派を抑えている（「なぜ撤退する？」と抗議していた若いのが好例）。もし英明な両君主がいなければ、あちらとこちらの主戦派どうしが直接、戦いを交えることになる。
今それを食い止めている状況が、Saladin and the King between themであり、
その両君主ならば「より良き世を作ることだろう」。

＞The Hospitalar : It lives only for a while, but (it?) still has lived.
「より良き世、は長くは続かないでしょうけど、それでもすでに実現していますよ」
というのが、私の現時点での解釈です。

このところの暑さでヘタレております。氷の杯が欲しい…

ハーブ様の分析（No.3281, 3290）へのお礼レスを後回しにするのは
心苦しいのですが、サラディンとティベリアスの台詞アップを優先させました。
雑な作業なのでまたしてもポカ満載の悪寒。
（白い都さま、お手数をおかけしました）

補足＆手直ししました。

懺悔：ティベリアスに王様をitと呼ばせてしまいました。it 扱いだなんて
　　　王を「あの病人」と呼んだルノー並かそれ以上に失礼な発言ですね。
　　　慌てていたからとはいえ何という失態。
　　　自己嫌悪に陥りつつ己を馬叩き棒（…は我が家に無いため孫の手あたり）で
　　　しばきに行って参ります。

age目的半分の投稿です。

「い」抜き言葉といえば、ボードワンⅣ世の
"when playing with the other boys..."に
「（他の少年たちと？）遊ん”でて”」という字幕があてられていたような
気がします。字数減らしを意図したものでしょうが
あれでは小さい子供の言葉みたいで威厳ぶち壊し。

やはり今回も失敗の数々が投稿後に発覚しました。単語を差し替えた際、
続く部分をそれに合わせて変えるのを忘れていて大ボケ状態になっていたり等々。
（あのような恥ずかしい代物が日中皆様の目にさらされていたとは…）
帰宅後に気づいてコソコソと修正したところです。
