Saruman: So Gandalf Greyhame thinks he has found Isildur's heir. The lost king of Gondor. He is a fool. 《
Gndalf: Sauron fears you, Aragorn. He fears what you may become. 《君を恐れとる アラゴルン // 君がなるであろうものを》 And so he'll strike hard and fast at the world of Men. We must trust now in Frodo.
Sam: Can you see the bottom? 《地面は?》 Frodo: No! Ah-----!!
Pipin: Look! The trees! They're moving! 《見て 木が― // 動いてる》 Treebeard: They have business with the Orcs.
Frodo: If something has happened to Boromir, we would have you tell us. 《ボロミアに何があったんです》 Faramir: His horn washed up upon the riverbank. It was cloven in two.
Very much like The Fellowship, the extra footage in The Two Towers does give you an advantage. It gives you another background.
An extended cut isn't just material that ended up on the cutting room floor…it's material we really intended to shoot, that gives you information.
It kind of explains it more. It just gives it a bit more depth.
Pipin: They think we have the Ring.
Fans of the book were really keen to see the Ent-draught scene.
Merry: You're taller. 《背が伸びた》 Pipin: I've always been taller than you. 《前から君より高い》 Merry: You did something. ------------------------ Boromir:(杯を持ち) Remember today, little brother. Today, life is good.
That whole sequence with Faramir and Boromir is amazing.
I'm very pleased it's in the DVD, and you do see Boromir with his brother and his father and with the men of Gondor.
The character of Faramir is the brother of Boromir, who we saw in the first film... 《第一部で登場した / ボロミアの弟が― // ファラミアだ》 and he's also the son of Dnethor, who we're to see in The Return of the King. 《父親デネソールも / 「王の帰還」で登場する》 And there's a sequence that we shot where that family dynamic is seen in flashback.
Boromir: He loves you, Father. 《弟にも愛を》 Denethor: Do not trouble me with Faramir. I know his uses and they are few.
それなのに…(;;) “He loves you, Father.”
It's actually quite an important and significant linking piece that actually…brings these storylines revolving around Faramir sort of together…in this one sequence.
