この告知文もメールお手伝いの方も、なんとかプロセスの一段階にはなれたようでホッとしてますが、それにしても、私的には、語彙不足からくる稚拙表現はともかく（ほっといていいという意味ではなく、今日この時点では仕方ない要素だから）、落ち着けば分かるはずの、受動態にしそこないミスが一番悔しい（笑）。相変わらず、冠詞認識が曖昧なのもナサケナイ（もちろん、原則的なことは頭に入ってるのですが、いざ個別に直面すると、迷いが出てしまうのです^^;）…と、つまらん独り言は、このくらいにして。


＞特に、☆人名の敬称あるなし、フルネームか苗字のみか☆、などは配慮していないのでよろしく。
初出時に　Ms./Mr.　を付ける、以降はフルネームで敬称なし、という形でOKでしょうか。これで良しなら、チェックはしました。
(1)の２段落の冒頭の「Toda's subtitle〜」だけは、名字のみです。


問題の「先付け」部分ですが、あ、クマ犬さんのおかげで、その言葉の意味するところははっきりしました（ありがとうございます^^）。で、元の文はこうなってます。
＞日本語字幕版本編プリント先付け、日本語吹替版のエンドにつける「スタッフ・キャスト」タイトルに下記のお名前を入れる了解をいただいております。
つまり、「字幕版は先付けに」そして「吹き替え版はエンドに」、「下記の名前を入れる」という意味以外には読めないと、私は思います。なので。
＞＃1277 ここのつ様の解釈が合っているならば、完全にここのつ案採用になります。
とりあえず、我田引水（笑）いたしました。

たぶん、そもそも日本側でのスタッフもキャストも大勢な吹き替え版は、そのためのエンドクレジットが予め存在するので、翻訳関係もそれに含めることができる。一方、通常一人の名前ですむ字幕版では、あ、クマ犬さんのおっしゃるところの「映画の最初にあるか、最後にくるかは配給会社や翻訳家のわがまま」であると。そういうことなんでしょう。

そうしたことをトータルで英訳しとくのは、必ずしも不要なことではないと思うので、吹き替え版での翻訳者名の扱い部分も残しときましょう、というのが私の意見です。

それにしても、全体的にまとまりが悪くて区切り方なども妙な告知文の中でも、特にこの辺り、読みずらくてかないません。意図的なのか文章力故なのか分かりませんが……ハーブさんの「このパート（段落）だけは無くてもいい気がします」という気分には、（意味は違うかもしれないけど）私もなりました(^^;

＞ここ、肝心の箇所なのではっきりクリアに行きたいが、決定案はまだない。

この中からだと、私だったら、ハーブさんの最初の　But it was totally a surprise to us. 　を採ります。そもそもが公式の表明文には不似合いな（と私は感じる）「寝耳に水（初耳＋不意打ちの驚き）」に、案の中では一番近いと思いますので。

その他、ほとんど、ハーブさんのご提案を受け入れた上で、ここのつ版の最終案として、この下に投稿します。白い都さんには、ご確認の上、適宜ご使用いただければと思います。（それから、メール本文の方ですが、ハーブさんの心強いフォローが入ったところで、とりあえず私はひっこみますね。言わずもがなとは思いますが、どうぞ私訳分の取捨についてはお気遣い無くご遠慮なく〜^^）

最後に、「余計なお世話かもかも知れませんが」さんにも、改めて御礼申し上げます。私版最終案へのご意見の反映は、上記のような次第によりますので、ご理解いただければと思います。

A translation of the main part of
The Official Announcement about TTT Translation

On the TTT trailer, we took a very exceptional way to translate. We asked Ms. Akiko Tanaka (co-translator of the original books for Japanese) to translate the whole script, and Ms. Natsuko Toda made the subtitles from Akiko Tanaka's translated whole script.

Natsuko Toda's subtitle transcript was checked by Akiko Tanaka and Hyoronsha (publisher of the Japanese edition books) again, for finalizing.

For the dubbed version, we entrusted Mr. Katsushige Hirata, who worked on the same job for FotR, with making the script based on the Hyoronsha's preliminary translation. The final script was checked by Akiko Tanaka and Hyoronsha.

As for the TTT theatrical version, we got the English script (Final draft) and a video for translation in mid-October. Natsuko Toda checked the script and the video, and numbered the lines of the English script. And then we entrusted Hyoronsha with translating the whole script, and asked Akiko Tanaka to check it.

After receiving the final English script, translation for the additional part of script was done by Hyoronsha, and subtitling by Natsuko Toda started in mid-November. Now the pre-release version of Japanese subtitle transcript has been made and has been checked by Akiko Tanaka and Hyoronsha.

From now on, Natsuko Toda, referring to opinions by Akiko Tanaka and the others, will finalize the subtitle transcript by making necessary adjustments. We are planning to have a preview of the print with those Japanese subtitles, and to make the final corrections.

We are going through a similar process on the Japanese dubbed version. The preliminary translation by Hyoronsha was handed to Katsushige Hirata. Now the pre-release version script has been made, and Akiko Tanaka and Hyoronsha are checking it. We are planning to complete the dubbed print in the end of January.

We have made an agreement with them to put their names as follows.

The subtitled version print will be preceded by these lines:
The Japanese subtitles: Natsuko Toda
In collaboration with: Akiko Tanaka Hyouronsha

In the dubbed version's end credit "Staff & Cast for the dubbed version," we intend to put the names as we did on FotR; Translation: Katsushige Hirata, Collaboration: Akiko Tanaka, Hyouronsha and other names of people who helped us on the translation.


Recently, in an interview on NZTV, the director Peter Jackson has made a statement that the translator for TTT had been changed in Japan. But it was totally a surprise to us. We are trying to find out what he really meant through New Line Cinema Inc. However we haven't received any answer yet.

If we receive a comment or a message from him directly, we will let you know.

前触れの「最終案に向けて」の中の次のところ

一度アップして読み直してから、直前の文に、「フルネーム's 〜」の例があったのに気づきました（間抜けだ〜^^;）

これは、過去形の方がよかったかなと、今になって思いました。
（もしかしたら、表現添削と同時に時制添削でもあったのかも…？）

最初の私の案では、PJのコメントがあったところだ（現在完了）→それ以前にまったく聞いてなかった（過去完了）というつもりで時制を考えていたのですが。後半が「それには全く驚いた（過去）」になったので、それに対応させるとすると「PJのコメントがあった（過去）」のほうが適切なような気がします。ただ、私自身は、時制表現でも曖昧さが残っているので、再確認、お願いします。＞ハーブさん

一応、私の思うところの修正案、↓段落ごと書いておきます。（has１つを削除しただけです）
